Art Santa Fe 2009

Art Santa Fe boothI travelled again this year to New Mexico for Art Santa Fe 2009—an international contemporary art fair. As in the previous two years, I had a single-artist “Project Space” sponsored by the Monroe Gallery of Photography. The fair is an annual juried event that brings together the work of contemporary artists in all media from galleries in Europe, Asia, Latin America, and the United States.

This year Art Santa Fe ran from Thursday, July 23rd through Sunday, July 26th at the Museo Cultural in the Railyard District. My wife and I man the booth together and enjoy the weekend more than any other event we do during the year. Good Northern New Mexico cuisine (we came home with a year’s supply of fresh roasted green chiles), good conversation with an interesting set of fair visitors, good meals with friends we have made over the last three years, and dramatically beautiful storm skies over the city every afternoon.

roger_pamela-web-300On the way out of town Monday morning we delivered a print of “Aspens after Morning Rain” to Pamela and Roger.
