SORRY, THIS WORKSHOP HAS BEEN CANCELLED. Calypso Imaging’s digital classroom and workshop program have been suspended. Over the last year the collapsing economy brought sign ups for most of their courses down to a level that was not sustainable.

Until Calypso’s digital classroom (see above) comes back online, or I find a similar workshop venue, I am offering individual tutorials at my home studio in Southern California. One or two day courses can be designed. The menu of possibilities includes (but is not limited to):
~Image editing in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop based on my standard workflow
~Color management
~Proofing and printing to 11×14 on HP B9180 inkjet printer
~Photography in the field at nearby Torrey Pines State Reserve
~Portfolio review and constructive suggestions for improvement
~Discussion of compositional structure and other aesthetic issues (isolating subject, filling frame, etc.)
~Techniques for handling contrast, complex exposures, and depth of field
